Some bands dream of world tours and platinum records. The Last Shot has a more manageable ambition: play one major Irish festival within three years, then break up and never be heard from again.
The project
The songs are already written. Basic demo recordings are ready to listen to. Now we need a band to bring them to life.
No world tours. No platinum records. No documentary narrated by a famous movie star. Just a great band, a set of big songs, and one goal worth chasing.
This could be your last chance to say you were in a band before you start saying you used to be in a band.
Musicians from Donegal and Derry, all over 30, rehearsing in Letterkenny.
Take the demos and turn them into something that fills a room.
Gigs, sessions, whatever stages will have us.
One proper festival slot within three years. That's the target.
No farewell tour. No reunion announced six months later.
Probably.
The sound
Something like a Celtic E Street Band
Big, energetic songs with a strong rhythm section and soaring harmonies, with plenty of room for fiddle, banjo and whatever else makes the room come alive.
Listen
These are rough recordings of the songs. Picture them with a full band, a fiddle going full tilt and a few hundred people singing along.

Who we need
You don't need a storied musical past. You need to be able to play or sing, enjoy working with other people, and show up regularly.
Interested?
Tell us a bit about yourself. It takes about three minutes. If you have a short recording or video of you playing or singing, attach it or add a link (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, SoundCloud, Instagram, anything works).
No recording? That's fine. Apply anyway.
